The amount of pollution from the valley that reached SPL

A team of students from City College of New York and the Bronx Community College, as well, traveled to the Yampa River Valley in the northwest of the Colorado State to conduct experiments related to the contamination of the air in January 2005. The objective of this report is to investigate if pollution from the valley reached Storm Peak Laboratory (SPL). According to the studies made on the two most important days of our investigation, pollution did not reach SPL on the 15 of January but could possibly reach the 19 of January. This conclusion is based on the CN, temperature and gas data obtained in our 8 days study at the SPLB (located at 2043m in Steamboat), SPLM and SPL (located, respectively, at 2602m and 3210m in the northern Colorado Rockies, see Figure 1).
